Deltan born wife of Nigeria‚Äôs Lotto King, Sir Dr. Chief Kessington Adebukunola Adebutu, 85, the Odole of the source (Ile Ife in Osun State), by the name ‘Madam Rosemary Dacosta Adebutu’ was laid to rest yesterday, Friday, January 29, 2021 amidst an unprecedented outpourings of emotions by those who could make the emotional ceremony. The stress brought about the pandemic and the need for strict adherence to the protocols, nearly made us forget about the interment.

Her family members, few close friends and probably associates who could make it, tried as much as they could were unable to hide their feelings, most especially her only child and daughter, Magistrate Temitope Adebutu Obasanjo, who just at a point let her emotions take over her, as her mother was lowered into the grave. The outpouring of emotions from Tope was understood because, she and her late mom shared an unbelievable bond friendship, like they were sisters. Both were each other’s confidante. In fact till she passed on, on January 9, 2021 from the complications that arose from the Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic, they were both living together in the same luxury apartment in Ikoyi. Even the magisterate herself from what we heard, has only just recovered from the pandemic herself as she was treated privately with a nurse at her beck and call.

The husband of the late madam Rosemary, billionaire lotto King and impressive investor with a very heavy profile in the hospitality sector, holds the highest chieftaincy title in the whole of Yorubaland, which was bestowed on him by none other than the Ooni of Ife, his imperial majesty Arole Odua Oba Adeyeye Babatunde Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, the 51st Ooni on that most revered throne; the Odole was on hand at the Ikoyi vault Lagos, to bid his now late but beautiful wife a final farewell.

Fare thee well mama.
