A very humbling and sad defeat for the APC's incumbent Governor Adegboyega Oyetola as the dancing Senator- Ademola Adeleke coasts home to victory after a hard fought fight.
Senator Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke, 62 the incoming 6th Executive Governor of Osun State.

….after the sad and quite humbling defeat of Adegboyega Isiaka Oyetola the incumbent Governor, expected dance frenzy set to take over the state in massive celebration of the tumultuous victory of the PDP to be led by Senator Adeleke himself and supported by his nephew Davido and B-Red his son.

After a hard fought fight for the heart, soul and body of Osun State to determine the Governor of the SW state for the next 4 years, the incorrigible and incomparable dancing Senator- Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke of the PDP, the younger sibling of the late Serubawon of Ede and Osun politics -the late former Governor of the same state in the person of Senator Isiaka Adetunji Adeleke, who is also the brother of the gentleman and humble billionaire behind Pacific Holdings and father of ace musician David Adeleke aka Davido, in the person of Dr. Deji Adeleke, has slamdunked the incumbent and won to become the next Executive Governor of Osun State later in 2022.

According to the results declared by INEC, he won the election via 17 LGAs against 13 LGAs of the incumbent in the person of Governor Gboyega Oyetola.

With how this election has turned out it is now 1-1 draw for the APC versus PDP contest/battle, as the APC carried the day very recently in Ekiti State via a landslide victory aided by the good works of the outgoing Governor, his excellency Dr. Kayode Fayemi. Instead of the APC to continue her winning streak, it’s instead the PDP via her candidate- Senator Demola Adeleke that has carried the day in Osun.

At the last election 4 years ago, same Senator Demola Adeleke, who was then naive politically was already coasting home to victory before an abracadabra that made him to lose occurred and he was defeated via a controversial loophole the APC used to win by the slimmest of margins!

This particular contest for the APC from the get go, already had many snags/issues, as the Osun State APC was already in dilemma and had imploded through much infighting that saw the immediate predecessor- in person of the former Governor- Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola at daggers drawn with Governor Gboyega Oyetola, who is a cousin of the APC Presidential candidate in the person of the Jagaban Borgu- Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Adekunle Tinubu and Ogbeni was hellbent on undemining Oyetola no matter what, atleast to prove a point that without his support Oyetola couldn’t amount to anything.

So terrible was their fight, that it even extended towards the APC national leader as the current Minister of Interior took their leader to the cleaners in their battle for supremacy! So while Aregbesola supported his own aspirant to become a flag-bearer of the APC and totally withdrew support for Oyetola, Oyetola had the full support of the Asiwaju his cousin, but alas the support couldn’t swing things his way when it mattered most.

While the APC did everything to try to patch up and have a united front believing they had an asset in Senator Omisore, a former deputy Governor of the state who is a top chieftain of the APC, the PDP were totally united as one and were steadily making in roads in the state with the full backing of the national party. As they rallied together to make a statement witn vociferous supporters at their back.

And so with the closely monitored election of Saturday, July 16, 2022, so as to avoid thunder from striking twice over what could be the expected hanky-panky from the APC, the (dancing Senator) won the actual battle albeit gallantly with- (403,371 votes against 375,027 votes) to emerge has the 6th Executive Governor of Osun State, 31 years after his blood brother late Senator Isiaka Adeleke became the 1st Executive Governor of the same state where he reigned for just a year.

In the history of the state there have been 5 Executive Governors to date now going to be 6 in November of 2022 and 3 administrators.

Governor Adegboyega Isiaka Oyetola had wanted to get a 2nd term just like his immediate predecessor from the same party in the person of Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola.

With this PDP win against an incumbent in the SouthWest, is this a shadow of what’s to come in Lagos State in 2023 with the duo of Jandor and Funke Akindele versus Babajide Olusola Sanwoolu and Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat?

The incoming- Senator Nurudeen Ademola Jackson Adeleke is 62 year old and a father of 5, one of his sons is the popular music artist B-Red.

Let the party begin!
